Designing the best time tracking system out there means that we’re always thinking about time management. Helping our clients to track time effectively, in our minds, means that in the end, they can eliminate wasted time and maybe claim a little more “free” time. Is that a lofty goal from a time tracking company? Maybe. But if we deliver the best product out there, we make tracking your time much easier and allow you to simplify ancillary tasks, like invoicing and reporting. With that one result, we hope to give you back as much as an hour (or more) each week.
We hope to achieve three goals with our blog each week to support all of you.
1. To give you a simple Time Management Tip that you might be able to actually use that will improve your day-to-day life.
This Week’s Time Management Tip: Don’t respond to emails that don’t need a precise answer. Your clients and friends may “want” a constant “AOK” “confirmed” or whatever, but it’s really a time suck to cross confirm everything all day long. Share that you don’t routinely respond to EVERY email you receive and if they need a response, they have to tell you. Then give an ETA on incoming projects and tasks. That’s it.
2. To feature the real benefits and applications that our clients put into place with OfficeTime and why we’re their favorite Time Tracking Software. Please see this week’s blog on Laurie Cantus, a great business owner and the CEO of YourGoToGirls, one of the best Virtual Assistance companies out there.
3. To create a conversation with all of you, clients and readers, about what you need and how you feel, as professionals. In that spirit, we would love your answers to the following question.
What would you do this week, for instance, if you had MORE time? And more importantly, what can you change to create that time?
Please feel free to respond here, on our blog, and don’t forget to mention who you are and what your company does. At OfficeTime, we’re happy to build a network of users that can reach out to one another professionally! Tune in next week for another great blog on how time management = success.
